About Blackpink
Blackpink has four members: Lisa, Jisoo, Jennie, and Rose. The band debuted on August 8th, 2016 under YG Entertainment, a South Korean entertainment company. As of October 23, 2018, Blackpink signed with the U.S. label Interscope Records, who will represent them outside of Asia.
Their first album was Square One which featured "Whistle" and "Boombayah" and earned them their first number-one entries on South Korea's Gaon Digital Chart and the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart. Their second album Square Two was released on November 1, 2016 and consisted of "Playing with Fire" and "Stay". On June 22, 2017 they released "As If It's Your Last" as a standalone digital single. They made their Japanese debut on August 30, 2017, with the release of a Japanese EP that included Japanese versions of their previous singles.
On January 6, 2018, Blackpink released the first episode of their reality show Blackpink House, which was comprised of 12 episodes that were released throughout 2018. Thier first Korean-language EP title Square Up was released on June 15, 2018 and contained "DDU-DU DDU-DU", "Forever Young", "Really", and "See U Later". English singer Dua Lipa released "Kiss and Make Up" with Blackpink on October 19. Jennie made her solo debut with her single "Solo" on November 11 at Blackpink's Seoul concert, with the song and music video being released the following day. Their first Japanese studio album Blackpink in Your Area was made available digitally on November 23 and physically on December 5; it contained Japanese versions of all their previous releases. Their third EP Kill This Love was released on April 5, 2019 and contained "Kill This Love", "Don't Know What To Do", "Kick It", "Hope Not", and "DDU-DU DDU-DU - Remix". On October 16 a Japanese version of "Kill This Love" was released.
On May 28, 2020 Lady Gaga released "Sour Candy" with Blackpink. "How You Like That" was released as a single on June 26, 2020. On August 28, they released "Ice Cream" as a collaboration with Selena Gomez. They released their first Korean studio album The Album on October 2, 2020 which constisted of "How You Like That", "Ice Cream (with Selena Gomez)", "Pretty Savage", "Bet You Wanna (feat. Cardi B)", "Lovesick Girls", "Crazy Over You", "Love To Hate Me", and "You Never Know", with "Lovesick Girls" being the title track. They released a documentary film "Blackpink: Light Up the Sky" on Netflix on October 14.
Rosé made her solo debut on March 12, 2021 with her ablum -R- which consisted of "Gone" and "On the Ground".
Lisa made her solo debut on September 10, 2021 with her album Lalisa which consisted of "Lalisa" and "Money".
Jisoo starred in her first role as lead actress in the South Korean TV Series Snowdrop which first aired on December 18, 2021.
They released their pre-release single called "Pink Venom" to go with their second studio album Born Pink on August 19, 2022.
They released their second studio album called Born Pink on September 16, 2022 which consisted of "Pink Venom", "Shut Down", "Typa Girl", "Yeah Yeah Yeah", "Hard to Love", "The Happiest Girl", "Tally", and "Ready for Love".
Jisoo made her solo debut on March 31, 2023 with her album Me which consisted of "Flower" and "All Eyes On Me".
Blackpink became the first K-pop group to headline Coachella on April 15, 2023 and April 22, 2023.
Blackpink released a game called BLACKPINK THE GAME on May 4, 2023.
They released an OST (original soundtrack) called THE GIRLS (BLACKPINK THE GAME OST) for their game.
They ended their "Blackpink Born Pink World Tour" on September 17, 2023. It had 1.8 million attendees in total, making it the most-attended concert tour by a K-pop girl group.
Jennie released a solo song called "You and Me" on October 6, 2023.
Lisa performed at Crazy Horse Paris.
Jisoo is going to star in the K-drama "Influenza".
